Shift4Good, an international impact investment company, has sealed its first fund at €220 million. It is one of the largest venture capital initiatives entirely focused on sustainable transportation solutions. The fund will be channeled to groundbreaking startups committed to decarbonizing and making transport systems around the world more efficient.

About Shift4Good

Founded in 2022 by Matthieu de Chanville, Sébastien Guillaud, Yann Marteil, and Thierry de Panafieu-a quartet of experienced French investors-Shift4Good is a venture capital company focused on bringing sustainable innovation to the transportation sector. It is established with offices both in Paris, Singapore, and Luxembourg to strongly influence the two market streams from both European and Asian sides.

Shift4Good’s investment strategy is focused on Series A and Series B funding rounds, with individual investments ranging from €4 million to €20 million. The firm focuses on transformative startups in all transportation sectors, including rail, road, air, and maritime. 

  • The main focus areas include: Invest in companies that are developing electric vehicle technologies and support infrastructure.
  • Backing startup firms providing innovation for short-distance transportation solutions such as e-scooters and bike-sharing.
  • Firms focusing on battery recycling and sustainable lifecycle management
    Companies taking leading roles in researching and development of hydrogen as a clean energy source for transportation.
