Strategic Objectives for the Funding
Newly won capital will be targeted to finance a few strategic objectives: Expansion of Services Twentyeight Health intends to expand the number of services available to people with regards to reproductive and sexual health. Such services will include different forms of birth control, emergency contraceptives, herpes medication, pregnancy testing kits, condoms, sanitary towels, and prenatal vitamins.
- Improving user experience: Funds will be committed to enhancing the user interface as well as improving the overall platform experience so women from all walks of life easily access healthcare.
- New partnerships: The company hopes to establish more partnerships with Medicaid insurers to enhance its reach into more people to offer care for a larger segment of the population.
Challenge of Healthcare Access
A large proportion of American women are unable to access reproductive health services, and this is true for the 19 million living in contraceptive and maternity care deserts. Twentyeight Health seeks to fill the gap by offering services that accept almost every commercial and Medicaid plan, often delivering care with a $0 co-pay and $0 prescriptions.
- Immediately after the presidential election of November 5, user interest on Twentyeight Health surged as follows:
- 52% rise in conversion in general, more users have been able to sign up for and use services from the site.
- 10% increase in traffic visiting the website for accessing available healthcare options
The number of sales for emergency contraceptives is double as their demand is greatly increased on the site.

Commitment to Underserved Communities
Twentyeight Health’s mission is to serve women from underserved, hard-to-reach communities:
- Income Demographics: Half of the platform’s users earn less than $20,000 per year, making it important to accept Medicaid and offer affordable care options.
- Diverse User Base: Approximately three in five users are identified as people of color, and two in five have no other primary care provider outside the platform, reinforcing the importance of the platform to these users as a source for needed healthcare
Future Outlook
With the additional funding and strategic partnerships, Twentyeight Health is now set to further enhance its services and expand its outreach toward making it possible for as many women in the United States, irrespective of geography, income, race, age, or coverage status, to access essential reproductive and sexual healthcare.
